About the Role:
La Trobe Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Scrub Scout with Orthopaedic and Urology experience to join our theatre team.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in Orthopaedic procedures and a commitment to delivering protected, evidence-based care within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgery,
ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use
Assist the surgical team by scrubbing in, passing instruments and anticipating the needs of the surgeon
Monitor and manage the sterile field to ensure patient safety and prevent infection
Collaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal care during surgical procedures
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of procedures and patient information
Adhere to hospital policies, procedures and safety protocols
Contribute to efficient theatre operations and positive patient flow outcomes
Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification
Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA
Working rights within Australia
Demonstrated Scrub Scout experience in Orthopaedics
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing clinical demands
Confidence to liaise with and support VMOs
Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and clinical excellence
Excellent communication, teamwork and time management skills
Scrub Scout experience in other specialities including Urology, Plastics and General Surgery
Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing or working towards completion
Knowledge of ACORN standards and guidelines
Experience with electronic patient documentation systems

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and VICNMA/ANMF- VIC Nurse and Midwives' -Enterprise Agreement****, a salary ranging from $******* - $******* per hour.
