Support Worker – Disability & Complex Supports

Positions Available:We currently have2 positions available.
We are looking for immediate starts on the North Side of Brisbane and Bayside/Logan areas.

Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day support in line with individualised care plans
Deliver personal, behavioural andhigh-intensity supportsin accordance with participant needs
Support participants with daily living activities and community access
Follow Behaviour Support Plans, clinical instructions andrestrictive practicerequirements
Maintain accurate shift documentation and promptly report incidents or concerns
Promote participant dignity, safety, choice and independence at all times
Work with children aged6–16 years with ASD Level 2 & 3, ADHD, and non‐verbal participants
Work collaboratively with other support staff and allied professionals while also being able to work independently in line with participant support plans
What You'll Bring
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS-
Experience in disability, aged care, or community support
High-intensity support experienceandRestrictive Practiceincluding:
Seizure management
Epilepsy support
Dysphagia supports
Complex manual handling and hoist transfers
Medication management experience including Midazolam
Ability to provideevidence of relevant training and when it was last actively used(certificates required)
Ability towork independently and collaboratively with other support staffwhile following support plans and behaviour strategies
Be aproactive worker — a rapid thinker and a doer, not just someone filling a shift
Excellent communication skills, reliability and strong time management
CurrentFirst Aid & CPR(must have)
CurrentWorking With Children Check / Blue Card(must have)
NDIS Worker Screening Check(or willingness to obtain)
National Police Check




Validdriver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
Completion ofNDIS Worker Orientation and Infection Control modules(or willingness to complete)
Willingness to work split shifts and availability across mornings, days, afternoons, nights and active or inactive overnight shifts
Australian work authorisation required at time of application
Minimum of 2 years experience in disability, aged care, or community support
High-intensity support experience must have been actively used within the last 6 months with appropriate evidence and certificates provided.
Highly Desirable / Preferred Experience
Experience supportingnon‐verbal participants and children with ASD Level 2 or 3
RSTRICTIVE PRACTICE COMPETANT
Incident management and reporting experience
SIL (Supported Independent Living) experience
Experiencetransporting children and young people
Flexibility to workweekends and public holidays
Qualifications -MUST HAVE
Certificate III or IV inIndividual Support, Disability, or Mental Health, MAYBO/CPI and RP
