Boilermaker / 1st Class Welder – Heavy Earthmoving Equipment | Permanent
An exciting opportunity exists for an experiencedBoilermaker or 1st Class Welderto join a well-established South East Queensland civil contractor based in Ipswich.
For more than 50 years, our client has successfully delivered major bulk earthworks and industrial site development projects across South East Queensland.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for a skilled tradesperson to join their busy workshop, maintaining and repairing a modern fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment.
This hands-on role offers excellent variety, long-term stability, and the opportunity to work with quality machinery in a well-equipped workshop.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain,



repair and fabricate components for heavy earthmoving equipment and attachments.
Perform MIG and Stick welding, gouging, oxy cutting, grinding and general fabrication.
Operate workshop machinery, power tools and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
Diagnose and repair wear and structural damage on heavy machinery.
Complete job cards, maintenance records and timesheets accurately.
Assist apprentices and support other workshop personnel as required.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop while complying with all WHS policies and procedures.
Skills & Experience
To be successful, you will have:
Trade qualification as aBoilermakeror proven experience as a1st Class Welder.
Previous experience repairing and maintaining heavy earthmoving, mining, quarry or civil equipment.
Strong MIG and Stick welding and general fabrication skills.
A reliable, self-motivated and safety-focused approach.
Current driver's licence.
