Brisbane Criminal Law team
. You will work closely with the National Practice Director and Practice Leader (Sydney), both accredited specialists.

Key Responsibilities
As a
Senior Associate Criminal Lawyer
, you will:
Provide expert legal advice and representation in criminal law matters, including complex cases
Manage a high-volume criminal law caseload from start to finish
Draft high-quality legal documents, including charges, defences, and court submissions
Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and mediations
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Support business development and growth of the criminal law practice
Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and develop team capability
Assist in developing legal precedents and internal policies
Participate in strategy and executive business meetings
Manage team financial performance and achieve billing targets
About You
To succeed in this
Senior Associate Criminal Lawyer Brisbane role
, you will have:
Minimum 5+ years' post-admission experience in Criminal Law
Strong experience handling complex criminal law matters
Specialist Accreditation (highly regarded)
Excellent knowledge of criminal law procedures and court advocacy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and a busy caseload
A proactive, client-focused approach
Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers
A genuine interest in transitioning into a leadership role
