The HR Manager will lead and direct all human resources functions, ensuring that our people operations are aligned with our business goals. You will be responsible for the full employee lifecycle, from talent acquisition and development to employee relations and compliance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the automotive or a related trade industry and possesses deep knowledge of Western Australian employment law.
About the Role
The HR Manager will lead and direct all human resources functions, ensuring that our people operations are aligned with our business goals.
Responsibilities
Strategic Human Resources
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business plan.
Partner with the leadership team to provide expert HR guidance and support strategic decision-making.
Manage the HR budget and report on key metrics to track the effectiveness of HR functions.
Drive cultural initiatives that promote a positive, safe, and high-performance workplace.
Talent Acquisition & Management
Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process for all roles, including Automotive Technicians, Sales Consultants, Service Advisors, and support staff.
Develop and maintain a robust talent pipeline to meet future business needs.
Manage the onboarding and induction processes to ensure new employees are set up for success.
Implement performance management,



succession planning, and talent development programs.
Employee & Industrial Relations
Act as the primary contact for all employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, grievance handling, and disciplinary actions.
Provide expert advice and coaching to managers on performance management and employee issues.
Interpret and ensure compliance with the Vehicle Repair, Services and Retail Award and other relevant industrial instruments.
Ensure full compliance with the Fair Work Act ****, the Work Health and Safety Act **** (WA), and other relevant state and federal legislation.
Develop, implement, and review WHS policies and procedures, with a strong focus on workshop safety.
Manage workers' compensation claims and lead return-to-work programs.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
Training & Development
Identify employee training needs and coordinate career development programs, including OEM-specific technical training and apprenticeship/traineeship programs.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and career development within the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong knowledge of
Western Australian employment law
