About the Role
The ICT Project Officer will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organisation's information systems and data while maintaining compliance with applicable security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
The role provides security governance, risk management, compliance assurance, and security advisory services to support the organisation's cybersecurity posture and operational objectives.
Major Responsibilities
Assist with preparing security documentation and ATO tasks
Build, operate and optimise security solutions such as:
Tenable.sc / Nessus,
Data Loss Prevention (DLP),
Endpoint Security,
Web Proxy,
Sandbox - Malware Analysis
Onboard new hosts, set up vulnerability scans, build new policies, and prepare design documentation.
Set up DLP policies in accordance with client requirements.
Update threat feeds, perform software upgrades, threat intelligence updates, licence and health checks across the security solution stack.
Generate reports and work with stakeholders to remediate security threats.
Configure web proxy whitelist and blacklist rules.
Set up rules to inspect web traffic.
Work on security incident management tasks and assist with file analysis, unusual user activities, and developing new SIEM searches.
Attend working group meetings and represent CDS.
Secondary Responsibilities
All CDS Above-the-Line contractors may be tasked with assisting other CDS functional areas where the member's skills and knowledge are relevant and where it does not create a conflict with core duties
Desired Qualifications or experience
Experience with Tanium, Tenable, Cisco ISE and Cisco/Microsoft/Trellix/Carbon Black security tools will be highly advantageous.
Experience in Authority to Operate (ATO) tasks, including development of the full suite of security documentation such as System Security Plan Annex (SSP-A) and System Security Plans (SSPs).
Experience and knowledge of Essential 8 and Information Security Manual (ISM) compliance.
Knowledge of security standards such as Centre for Internet Security (CIS) or Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG).
Location: Canberra, ACT
Work Environment: Full time onsite
Security Requirements: Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates hold a current NV2 Security Clearance.
