The role will be based at Darrandirra Child and Family Centre.
The Child Health Nurse (CHN) Nurse will provide comprehensive Child Health Service to address and meet the needs of children 0 - 5years and their families resulting in optimal outcomes for Danila Dilba Health Service clients.
The CHN position is aimed at improving early intervention and outcomes for DDHS families with neurodevelopmental concerns or needs and will provide a high quality, comprehensive and culturally appropriate model of care to families.
The CHN will work within scope of practice, informed by clinical need and supported by GP's and DDHS Primary Health Care services including the allied health team and Family Support Worker.

What You Need to Succeed
Current registration with AHPRA with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
Post graduate qualifications in child health.
Demonstrated experience in working effectively in child health program management and prevention activities with knowledge of the principles of primary health care and program delivery in the primary health care contexts
Demonstrated the knowledge and understanding of cultural factors and social determinants of health relating to Aboriginal health
Demonstrated experience and competency in working with Communicare.




Experience in working in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service or similar complex environment such as the service industry or public administration.
Experience in facilitating programs with internal and external service providers.
