Key Responsibilities
Operate excavators safely and efficiently to complete residential house demolition projects
Demolish houses and associated structures in accordance with approved demolition methodologies and site plans
Carry out structural demolition, site clearing, material separation, and loading of demolition waste into trucks
Conduct pre-start inspections and daily safety checks, including fluid levels, greasing, lubrication, and defect reporting
Assess demolition sites prior to commencing work, identifying hazards, structural risks, exclusion zones, underground services,



and neighbouring properties
Work closely with demolition labourers, spotters, supervisors, and truck drivers to ensure house demolition activities are completed safely and efficiently
Follow demolition methodologies, Secure Work Method Statements (SWMS), and all WHS requirements
Maintain awareness of asbestos exclusion zones and other hazardous materials, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site procedures
Ensure plant and equipment are operated safely, cleaned daily, securely stored, and maintained to company standards
Complete daily records, pre-start documentation, and report defects or incidents promptly
Essential Requirements
Valid Driver's Licence
White Card
Relevant excavator operator tickets/licences
Minimum 2+ years' experience operating excavators on residential house demolition projects within Australia
Experience demolishing houses and other low-rise structures
Strong understanding of demolition techniques and WHS legislation
Ability to work independently and follow direction from supervisors
Positive attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills
