Our client is a national leader in CNC and laser machinery supply, installation, and after‐sales support, representing leading manufacturers from Europe and Asia.
As part of their continued expansion across Australia, they are seeking an experienced Service Engineer to join their growing technical team and support customers with installation, commissioning, and ongoing service of advanced machinery and automation systems.
This role offers a mix of hands‐on technical work, travel, and customer engagement — ideal for a mechanically and electrically skilled technician or engineer with experience in CNC systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Heavy focus on Inspection, Installation and commissioning of CNC machinery on customer sites
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and optical faults
Perform preventative maintenance, upgrades, and emergency callouts
Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, PROFINET, and DeviceNet
Provide customer training and technical support both onsite and remotely
Maintain accurate service documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure exceptional service delivery
About You:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent trade background)
Minimum 5 years' experience servicing Metal CNC machinery
Strong hands‐on diagnostic, fault‐finding, and repair skills
Experience Fanuc or Siemens PLC is a must
Confident communicator with a professional customer‐service approach
Willingness to travel interstate as required
Current Australian driver's licence and full working rights
