, this role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, highly organised and service-driven, with the ability to support families through sensitive and meaningful moments while coordinating professional funeral services.
The Role
As a Part-Time Funeral Conductor / Arranger, you will work closely with families and the local team to arrange and conduct dignified funeral services.
You will play a key role in ensuring services run smoothly while providing empathetic, professional support to families during their time of need.
Working
Wednesday to Friday
, your key responsibilities will include:
Meeting with families to arrange and coordinate funeral services in line with their wishes
Conducting and overseeing funeral services with professionalism and respect
Providing exceptional customer service to families, clients and internal stakeholders
Supporting day-to-day operations at the Mayfield location
Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures and quality standards
Assisting with preparation,



coordination and service delivery as requiredContributing to a cooperative and respectful team environment
Supporting health, safety and wellbeing standards in the workplace
About You
Essential:
Experience in a service-focused environment or the ability to quickly learn
Current unrestricted driver's licence
Comfortable working in circumstances involving death, grief and deceased persons
Strong communication skills with a calm and empathetic approach
High attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Sensitivity and respect for diverse values, beliefs and cultural practices
Physically and psychologically fit to manage manual handling, stress and the inherent requirements of the role
Availability to work
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Desirable:
Exposure to or understanding of the funeral services industry, or willingness to learn
Background in hospitality, retail, community services or a similar people-focused industry
