What you'll do
Get smarter about data
With some of the largest data sets in government,



you'll work with cutting-edge technologies and advanced analytics to improve process efficiency and drive smarter decision-making. As a data scientist, engineer or analyst, shape your career at the ATO with predictive modelling, machine learning, data mining and prescriptive analytics.
With a qualification in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM), the Data stream is the perfect pathway to model your future career. You could:
convert data into breakthrough insights and actions to deliver value for taxpayers, staff, and partner agencies
use data analysis modelling techniques to address problems and support data-driven decision making
design, build and maintaining systems to collect, process, and efficiently manage large volumes of data
establish and oversee effective data, analytics and AI governance
use advanced techniques to collect, analyse, and interpret data using analytical, statistical, and programming skills
