Civil Design Engineer

As a Civil Design Engineer at Ku-ring-gai Council, you'll take ownership of diverse infrastructure projects — from roads and drainage to traffic and public domain improvements — delivering smart, practical designs from concept through to construction.
Your Duties (Responsibilities) will include, but are not limited to:
Deliver civil design projects end-to‐end — from concept through to construction.
Prepare detailed designs, specifications and cost estimates.
Coordinate consultants, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
Ensure designs meet Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.
Support project delivery with technical advice during construction.
Embed sustainable design principles (ESD & WSUD) into all projects.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Degree in Civil Engineering and at least 3 years experience.




Robust capability in Civil 3D / 12D, DRAINS / Truflow and AutoCAD.
Solid understanding of Australian Standards, materials and construction methods.
Experience in project coordination, estimating and reporting.
Proven ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Strong analytical thinking, problem‐solving and communication skills.
