Life Medical Centre has an chance for an experienced General Practice Receptionist to join our team and contribute to patient-centred care and best practice administration.
Our Centre is highly regarded within our community and has received recognition and accolades within our Primary Health Network, and on a national level for our innovation to Primary Care and healthcare management.
Life Medical Centre is a full-service General Practice with on-site Allied Health, Pathology and efficient Chronic Disease management. We also offer Lifestyle Medicine intensive programs and other extended services for our community.
This role is a permanent full-time position.
The centre trades Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, and is closed weekends and Public Holidays.
The suitable applicant for this role will come from a General Practice background and seeks a Senior Receptionist opportunity to share their skills and expertise in a family-oriented environment. This role is supported by the business owners, another Receptionist and Operations Coordinator.
The applicant will demonstrate excellent presentation and communication skills, high levels of computer competency and a commitment to patient service. Proven ability navigating and understanding the intricacies of Medicare is mandatory, as well as the ability to apply and share these insights within your role and amongst your team.
Experience with Best Practice PMS is desirable, but not essential.
The applicant must come from a General Practice background, and is expected to have minimum experience of 5+ years.

Responsibilities will include:
Standard scope of works as a Senior Medical Receptionist including but not limited to:
· Friendly & professional first point of contact for patients
· Confidence in time-management of Waiting Room, walk-ins and telephone calls
· Scheduling & maintaining patient appointments
· Billings, Transmissions, Exemptions and Receipting
· Workers Compensation, Lifetime Care & Insurance Claims
· Maintenance and updating of Medical Records & Demographics
· Management of incoming & outgoing correspondence, both digital and physical
· General Office administration
· Provision of exceptional support to your peers
· Collaboration in bringing new ideas and systems
· An ability to work autonomously, as well as under direction as required
