Responsibilities:
Examine detailed drawings and specifications to assess materials and equipment required to complete job task.
Attend work sites in various locations and perform tasks to client's instructions.
Overhaul a wide range of plant and rotating equipment including pumps, valves, gearboxes, hydraulic components and marine propulsion systems.
Sketch components and identify parts for repair or replacement.
Perform basic fabrication and welding using various metals.
Inspect component parts with calibrated measuring equipment.
Operate laser aligning equipment to align pumps, motors and gearboxes.
Perform hydrostatic pressure testing and compile client reports.
Operate manual machine tools to manufacture various components.
Produce sketches, photos and documentation required to compile client report.
Complete HEC job packs in accordance with job procedure.
Operate various plant and machinery including cranes forklifts and EWP, and




Keep working areas clean and tidy and adhere to HEC safety policy and procedure.
Qualifications and experience:
Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification,
High risk work license.
Drivers Licence, and
White Card
Knowledge and Skills:
A solid understanding of health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Knowledge of engineering practices, machine tools, hand tools and materials.
Understanding of production processes, quality control and costs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage small projects.
Problem-solving, decision-making and organisation skills.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Team player, able to work autonomously and with others.
Strong attention to detail, and
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
