The Cleaning Agents is an established, family-owned Tasmanian cleaning and hygiene company.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Your initial focus will be professional window cleaning across a range of commercial and residential properties.
You may work across offices, commercial facilities, shopfronts, residential properties and other client sites. You will be expected to deliver a consistently high standard while representing The Cleaning Agents professionally.
As you become established within our team, we will begin developing your skills in professional carpet cleaning and pest and rodent control.
This will combine practical workplace experience with formal learning and study.

Practical training in qualified carpet-cleaning techniques

STUDY WILL BE AN IMPORTANT PART OF THIS ROLE:
The pest and rodent control pathway involves formal study, assessments and regulatory requirements.
The successful applicant must be genuinely willing and able to study. You will need to understand and apply technical information relating to pest identification, treatment methods, chemical safety, legislation, documentation and environmental responsibilities.
You do not need to have this knowledge when you apply. However, you must be prepared to dedicate the time and effort required to successfully complete the course.

YOUR WINDOW-CLEANING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your work may include:
Internal and external window cleaning
Commercial, retail and residential properties
Cleaning glass, frames, tracks and sills
Using traditional and water-fed cleaning systems
Assessing access requirements and site risks
Maintaining equipment, vehicles and work areas
Communicating professionally with clients
Completing work to our quality and safety standards
Experience with water-fed pole systems, traditional window-cleaning methods and commercial sites will be highly regarded.
YOUR CARPET-CLEANING DEVELOPMENT:
You will progressively learn how to:
Inspect carpets and identify fibres and stains
Select appropriate products and treatment methods
Operate professional carpet-cleaning equipment
Perform hot-water extraction and specialist stain treatment
Set realistic expectations and communicate outcomes to clients
You will be expected to bring the same care and attention to carpet cleaning that you already apply to windows.
YOUR PEST AND RODENT CONTROL DEVELOPMENT:




After completing the required training and obtaining the necessary licensing and authorizations, your future work may include:
Inspecting properties for pest and rodent activity
Identifying pests and contributing environmental conditions
Recommending appropriate treatment and prevention strategies
Installing and monitoring rodent-management systems
Completing treatment records and client reports
Pest-management work will only be performed once all required training, licensing and company authorizations are in place.
