ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Production Leading Hand at Norton Gold Fields, you are expected to work alongside the Shift Supervisor to lead a crew, keep the site safe, and hit daily production targets. This includes helping assign people and equipment to where they're needed most, stepping in to cover the Shift Supervisor when they're away, and operating machinery as required to maintain operations.
Maintain a protected and compliant worksite by identifying and eliminating risks, and ensuring all environmental and company standards are met.
Lead, train and support crew members to perform at their best, providing clear expectations and ongoing feedback.
Drive daily production by running shifts to schedule, hitting targets, and keeping earthmoving equipment operating efficiently with minimal downtime.
Manage shift logistics including PPE supplies, maintenance requests, personnel leave, and attendance.
Step up for the Shift Supervisor when needed, attend all required meetings, and operate machinery as the job demands.
Help lead the charge on the Autonomous Truck Project,



bringing cutting edge mining technology to the Goldfields.
ABOUT YOU
Minimum 5 years
of relevant experience
in Open Pit Production
(Essential)
.
Statutory 26 Supervisor qualification or working towards passing the exam
(Essential)
.
Leadership experience
(Desirable)
.
Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class "C" Driver's Licence
(Essential)
.
Proficient in using basic computer systems
(Desirable).
Comfortable communicating at all levels from operators through to management and chairing daily PSI meetings.
Good understanding of the following machines:
Dump Trucks: Komatsu ****, 785; CAT 777F , 789D , 775F, Water Carts (or other similar machinery in dimension)
Graders: CAT 16M, 16H Graders
Dozers: CAT D10T - D10T2 Dozers
Excavators: Hitachi ****, **** and ****
BENEFITS
Permanent full-time role with an immediate start.
Excellent remuneration package with additional allowances.
Receive a $12k residential allowance per annum, if you are residential and not FIFO.
Receive up to $5k site allowance per annum, depending on your site location.
Receive up to 12.5% short-term incentive payment (STIP) of your base salary.




A fully covered family private health insurance through GU Health Complete Gold Cover or allowance up to $5k.
A fully covered Death and Total & Permanent Disability (TPD) insurance or allowance up to $2.4k.
Pro-rata long service leave (LSL) after just 5 years of service and be entitled to 13 weeks paid LSL after 10 years of service.
