RDO Equipment is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic (known internally as a Service Technician) to join our team in Goondiwindi QLD!
This is a full-time role working on John Deere agricultural machinery in the field, providing high-quality maintenance and repair services to our valued customers on-site. Enjoy a competitive hourly rate, company vehicle and location allowance as part of the package.
What you'll be doing
Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance and repairs on a range of heavy equipment and machinery
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment to identify the root cause
Repair and service equipment in the field, ensuring minimal downtime for our customers
Maintain detailed records of all work carried out
Provide exceptional customer service and liaise with customers to understand their needs
Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures
What we're looking for
Relevant qualifications in a related field
Experience as a Field Service Technician, preferably in the heavy equipment industry
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently
Excellent communication and customer service skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to customer sites as required
