About the role
Women's Emergency Care (WEC) at the Royal Women's Hospital is a energetic and specialised emergency department providing care for women and newborns. With over 28,000 presentations annually, WEC manages the full spectrum of gynaecological, obstetric, early pregnancy, and neonatal presentations in a dedicated 24-hour emergency service.
WEC offers an exciting and unique training environment for emergency medicine trainees interested in developing advanced skills in women's health, neonatal resuscitation, management of obstetric emergencies and early pregnancy complications.
As part of the multidisciplinary team, WEC registrars contribute to collaborative care alongside midwives, nurses, obstetricians and gynaecologists, neonatologist and allied health professionals. This position is ideal for emergency trainees seeking to strengthen their clinical confidence in managing acute women's health presentations in a highly supported environment.

With over 28,000 presentations annually, WEC manages the full spectrum of gynaecological, obstetric, early pregnancy, and neonatal presentations in a dedicated 24-hour emergency service.
WEC offers an exciting and unique training environment for emergency medicine trainees interested in developing advanced skills in women's health, neonatal resuscitation, management of obstetric emergencies and early pregnancy complications.
As part of the multidisciplinary team, WEC registrars contribute to collaborative care alongside midwives, nurses, obstetricians and gynaecologists, neonatologist and allied health professionals. About you
Experience/Qualifications/Competencies
MB BS or equivalent qualification
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Currently enrolled in or eligible for the ACEM training program
Completion of at least 2 years of emergency medicine experience preferred

The Classification and Salary scale will be dependent on experience and you will be appointed and in accordance to the Australian Medical Association (Victoria) Doctors in Training Agreement *********.
