Job Details About the client Our client is a well-established professional services organisation looking for a Junior Financial Accountant to join their finance team.
This role will suit an accounting professional looking to build on their commercial experience and work within a supportive finance environment.
About the role Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant and Financial Controller, you will support the delivery of financial reporting, month-end accounting, statutory compliance and finance improvement initiatives.
This role will provide exposure across general ledger accounting, budgeting, audit, tax compliance and system improvements, including involvement in a new system implementation.

Your responsibilities Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and external audit requirements; Complete month-end processes including journals and balance sheet reconciliations; Support budgeting and financial planning activities; Assist with tax compliance requirements including BAS, FBT,
payroll tax and income tax; Prepare audit work papers and support financial reviews; Assist with new system implementation activities including testing and data migration; Identify and support improvements to finance processes and procedures; and Assist with general accounting tasks as required.
What we're looking for Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business or a related discipline; CA / CPA qualified or currently working towards qualification; 2+ years' hands-on experience in an Assistant Accountant position; Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting; High attention to detail and accuracy; Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities; Confident communication skills and the ability to work well within a team; and Strong Excel skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
