HVAC Technician Location: Sydney, NSW Salary: $120,000 + Super + Vehicle Immediate Start Currently seeking a HVAC Chiller Technician to join a growing specialist team delivering critical cooling solutions across some of Australia's largest data centre projects.
Following significant growth over the past 12 months, the business has expanded rapidly and continues to secure major projects throughout Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
The successful candidate will join a Sydney-based team of 14 technicians supporting mission-critical cooling infrastructure within live data centre environments.
This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale chiller installations, critical cooling systems, and some of the most technically advanced data centre facilities in the country.
Key Responsibilities Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on chiller and HVAC systems.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical, refrigeration, and controls-related faults.
Service and maintain air-cooled and water-cooled chillers.
Support commissioning and start-up activities for new installations.
Perform maintenance on chilled water systems, pumps, valves, VSDs, and associated equipment.
Complete service reports and maintenance documentation.
Work within critical environments where up time and reliability are essential.
Participate in on-call and emergency response activities when required.
Liaise with customers, site managers, and project teams.
Essential Qualifications Certificate III in Air Conditioning Refrigeration.
Current Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick).
Current White Card.
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
Experience Skills: Experience servicing commercial or industrial HVAC systems.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability.
Ability to work independently and manage daily service activities.
Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

The successful candidate will be a qualified Refrigeration Mechanic or HVAC Technician who enjoys technical problem solving and working within critical environments.
While previous data centre experience is advantageous, equal consideration will be given to candidates with strong commercial HVAC or chiller experience who are looking to move into the data centre sector.
