We partner internationally with churches and church agencies to address the causes and consequences of poverty, injustice and violence through community-led sustainable development.
In ****, we worked with 22 partners in 15 countries on 29 projects to reach 117,745 people.
While we work with and through churches, our programs include all people regardless of their faith, sexuality, ethnicity, ability, or gender.

The role sits within UnitingWorld's dynamic international programs team, which is responsible for stewarding relationships with church partners internationally, and for ensuring that our program portfolio and budget is delivered effectively, accountably and in line with compliance requirements.
ABOUT THE ROLE UnitingWorld is committed to working with local partners to support the development of effective Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) plans and approaches that are locally-led and owned, demonstrate impact, enable learning and improvement,



and ensure accountability.
As International Programs Advisor – MEL you will lead our work around annual program performance and impact reporting; facilitate and accompany new project design and evaluation processes; and enable continuous improvement in team and partner MEL capacity and practices.
You will develop and maintain strong working relationships with the UnitingWorld International Programs team, Fundraising and Communication team, and with local partner organisations This is a 12-month parental leave cover position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead impact and performance reporting Lead annual program performance processes and reporting including UW Program Effectiveness Report, Annual Report, and reporting to donors Ensure timely and impactful program performance information are available to Fundraising and Communications team Consolidate quantitative and qualitative programmatic data from across all projects and analyse portfolio-level impact and learnings.
Guide project design, appraisal and evaluation processes: Support International Program Managers to faciliate partner project design and MEL plan development processes Provide direct technical support and review to project designs, plans and reporting Facilitate internal project appraisal processes Support evaluation and baseline study processes – including through TOR development, consultant procurement, and report review.
Strengthen team processes, tools and capacity for MEL Facilitate continuous improvement of UnitingWorld Performance and Program Frameworks and accompanying tools and processes Maintain and develop tools, templates, support resources, and review processes to support IPMs to work with partners on project design, MELF development, and evaluation processes Develop tools,



training and other resources to enable partners to continuously improve MEL practices.
