Description
As a Consultant Paediatrician, you'll deliver exceptional care to paediatric and neonatal patients across the Goldfields, combining inpatient, outpatient and outreach services.
Based at Kalgoorlie Health Campus, you'll work alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team, lead service improvement initiatives, and mentor junior doctors. Supported by a dedicated team of Paediatricians and trainees, you'll play a vital role in shaping paediatric care for regional communities. Our ideal Paediatrician will meet the following suitability requirements:
Current registration as a medical practitioner and specialist Paediatrician with the Medical Board of Australia, with eligibility to practise independently in Australia
Lead and promote a culture of clinical excellence through active participation in clinical governance, risk management, quality improvement activities, clinical audit and policy development




Demonstrate highly developed communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Provide leadership, supervision, mentoring and education to medical staff, students and multidisciplinary teams
The requirement listed below will be assessed but is desirable for this role:
Demonstrate an understanding of the challenges and opportunities of delivering specialist paediatric services in a regional and remote setting, including the ability to work collaboratively across geographically dispersed health services.
