In this role, you will join the Electrical Tradesperson team in Portland Aluminium and work an 8‐hour day shift roster to ensure the secure and efficient operation and maintenance of all plant and equipment across the Smelter.
You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and collaborate with internal and external work groups to optimise process and equipment performance by installing, repairing, commissioning, and testing equipment and components.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform isolations, commissioning, and initial running checksPrepare work scopes and project activitiesSupervise and coordinate projectsConduct handovers to and from operationsApply technical expertise to identify and eliminate inefficienciesDirect and oversee contractorsAudit work qualityWhat You Can Bring to the RoleRecognised Electrical Trade qualification (Australian Apprenticeship, Tradesperson's Rights Certificate, or equivalent)Current A Grade Electrical LicenceStrong technical skills in isolating, diagnosing, analysing, and resolving complex equipment issuesExperience with PLC systems and motor control (highly regarded)Excellent problem‐solving,
