About the role
We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our talented culinary team at The German Arms Hotel in the picturesque town of Hahndorf, South Australia.
As a full-time Chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests by preparing high-quality, creative dishes that showcase the best of local produce.
What you'll be doing
Preparing a variety of dishes across our menus, including à la carte, specials and daily chef's selections
Ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste and presentation
Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and refine existing dishes
Providing guidance and support to junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment
Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
What we're looking for
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Chef in a similar hospitality environment
Formal culinary training or qualifications
Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavour profiles and food presentation
Solid time management and organisational skills to work efficiently in a quick-paced kitchen




Ability to thrive in a team environment and provide mentorship to junior staff
Passion for using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients to create delicious, memorable dishes
