Salary:
$97,285 pa + Incidental Allowance + Leave Loading + Superannuation

Your Role:
As a Trade Overseer, you'll lead, mentor and motivate inmates in a dynamic team environment, helping them develop practical trade and workplace skills that support successful rehabilitation and future employment opportunities.
You'll coordinate daily operations to deliver high-quality commercial outcomes, drive productivity and efficiency, and ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety, Quality Management and customer service standards.
This is a rewarding prospect to combine your trade expertise with leadership, making a genuine difference in the lives of others while contributing to the success of Corrective Services NSW.
What you'll do:
Lead by example
by mentoring and supervising inmates, passing on your trade skills and helping them build the confidence and experience needed for employment after release.
Use your trade expertise to make a real difference
, supporting rehabilitation while working in a role that combines hands-on trade work with leadership and coaching.
Help develop the next generation of skilled workers
by delivering practical, on-the-job training and contributing to programs that prepare inmates for successful employment and reintegration into the community.
Take ownership of your workshop
, managing tools, equipment and resources while maintaining a safe, well-organised workplace that meets Work Health and Safety and quality standards.

What you'll bring:
Relevant trade qualifications: Minimum Cert III in any of the following trades: Commercial Cookery or similar, Agriculture, Horticulture, Warehousing and Logistics, Hygiene Operations, Timber based trades
Certificate III in Correctional Practice or willing to obtain within 12 Months
Current NSW Drivers Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle while performing the role
Proven post trade experience
Experience which demonstrates the ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the role description
