Southport Sharks is looking for a Sales Executive to drive new business across Mantra at Sharks and the Sharks Events Centre.
This is a hands-on sales role focused on generating leads, converting opportunities and growing revenue across accommodation, conferences, meetings, events and group business.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Events & Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of proactive sales activity across the Gold Coast and Brisbane markets.
You will:
• Generate and prospect recent business opportunities
• Build strong corporate, community and sporting relationships
• Conduct site inspections and client presentations
• Negotiate and close business
• Develop packages and identify upselling opportunities
• Attend networking and industry events
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate CRM
• Drive revenue across accommodation, conferencing and events
Salary + Commission
This role offers a competitive base salary plus a quarterly commission structure,



giving you the opportunity to directly benefit from the revenue and new business you generate.
Your performance will be measured against clear sales activity, conversion and revenue targets, including proactive prospecting, site inspections and achievement of accommodation, conferencing and events targets.
About you
We are looking for someone with:
• Hotel, events, conferencing, hospitality sales or business development experience
• Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
• Confidence meeting, presenting and selling to clients
• A proactive and commercially focused approach
• Solid organisation and follow through
• Experience with CRM and sales reporting systems
