About the Role
As a Light Vehicle Technician / Mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality servicing, diagnostics and repairs across a wide range of passenger and light commercial vehicles.
You will work as part of a busy, structured workshop team with a strong focus on safety, quality workmanship, productivity and customer satisfaction.
Salary is based on experience; compensation package negotiable.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out scheduled servicing and general mechanical repairs
Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and vehicle system faults
Completing repairs in line with manufacturer specifications and workshop procedures
Following manufacturer warranty, repair and documentation requirements
Inspecting,
repairing and replacing worn or faulty parts
Completing routine maintenance including oil changes, lubrication, adjustments and tune-ups
Carrying out engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brake and driveline repairs
Maintaining accurate job notes, reports and repair documentation
Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and workshop cleanliness
Working with the workshop team to meet productivity and turnaround targets
About You
Qualified Light Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent
Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship experience preferred
Dealership or manufacturer experience highly regarded, but not essential
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
Confident working with both mechanical and electrical systems
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Strong time management and ability to work in a structured workshop environment
Reliable team player with a positive attitude
Current open manual driver's licence essential
