Service Manager – Toyota | Whitsundays
Filby's Motors Toyota is seeking an experienced automotive leader, ideally with a
Toyota dealership background
, to lead our Service operations across our
Proserpine and Bowen dealerships in the Whitsundays
.
Primarily based at our Proserpine dealership, this is a hands-on multi-site leadership role with responsibility for the performance, people and day-to-day operations of our Service Departments across both locations.
We are looking for someone who can provide strong leadership to our team, drive workshop performance and profitability, maintain Toyota manufacturer standards and ensure our customers continue to receive a high level of service.
About the Role
As Service Manager, you will be responsible for:
Leading and supporting our Service teams across Proserpine and Bowen
Managing daily workshop workflow, productivity, efficiency, utilisation and labour recovery
Leading, mentoring and developing Service Advisors, Technicians, Apprentices and support staff
Monitoring departmental performance, budgets, expenses and KPIs
Managing WIP and ensuring Repair Orders are completed and closed within required timeframes
Overseeing warranty processes and maintaining manufacturer compliance and audit readiness
Driving customer satisfaction, retention and CSI/NPS performance
Supporting technician and apprentice training and development
Ensuring appropriate workshop tooling, diagnostic equipment and resources are maintained
Maintaining strong WHS, environmental and operational standards across both locations
Working closely with the Dealer Principal and wider leadership team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and growth
About You
We are ideally looking for someone with a strong
Toyota dealership background
who understands manufacturer processes and the expectations of a high-performing dealership Service Department.




You may already be an experienced Service Manager looking for your next opportunity, or a highly capable automotive leader ready to take the next step in your career.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous experience in a Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, Workshop Controller, Foreman or similar senior automotive dealership role
Toyota dealership experience highly preferred
Strong knowledge of dealership Service operations, manufacturer processes and warranty requirements
Proven leadership and people-management skills
A good understanding of workshop productivity, efficiency, utilisation and labour recovery
Experience working with departmental KPIs and financial performance
Robust customer service and problem-solving skills
Confidence using dealership systems, reporting and manufacturer platforms
The ability to manage priorities and maintain consistent standards across multiple locations
A practical, hands-on leadership style
A mechanical trade qualification would be highly regarded
What We Offer
$80,000–$100,000 + super + performance-based commission
