Milking and farm duties
Cows and all cow things to keep our princesses happy.
We milk 620 mixed breeds in a 32-double-up.
Must be able to lift 20kg comfortably.
Calves: we do a lot of Angus, so fitness is a must.
Tractor work
only to the right person:
Fert, moving the hardline, feeding out, towing out farm bikes (happens a lot; we are a very wet farm)
Farm maintenance, fencing, rubberwear, track repairs, tractor servicing.
Embrace the fact that all Kiwi farmers are slightly crazy and happy to be a part of a close, swearing, not completely PC environment and be willing to learn (we balance this with fishing, whiskey and BBQs)
Versatile start date.
What we offer
Shared sea-view furnished accommodation with own bathroom (sorry, not suited to families)
Internet and power are covered by a small deduction of $50 a week.
Car provided if needed.
A supportive family team that offers flexibility in shifts: 5- 2 off.
Pay rate depends on the award but will be reviewed once the 90-day staff review is completed.
Conditions: only apply if you can say yes to all.
Driver's license P a min.
Be a resident of Australia or New Zealand with an idea of the basics (no cows look bigger in person than on TV people).
Pass a drug test and police check.
English is a must, and the ability to pick up tractor sign language.
