About the Role
Reporting to the Coordinator Environmental Health the core responsibilities include:
Conduct food safety assessments/inspections and investigate complaints.
Investigate and resolve public and environmental health issues in the community.
Conduct inspections of registered health premises and rooming houses.
About You




Eligible for membership of Environmental Health Professionals Australia and have tertiary qualifications in Environmental Health.
Demonstrated experience in Environmental and Public Health within Local Government.
A minimum of 3 years' experience as an Environmental Health Officer is desirable.
Demonstrated experience with the assessment and approval of registered food businesses and health premises.
Apply initiative, accountability and sound judgement when working independently, effectively prioritising tasks and making informed decisions.
Flexibility to work up to 5 days per week for a 6-month period across the Mornington Peninsula.
