Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a Freight Services- Assistant Manager to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks.
We're looking for a hands-on, experienced leader to support our Freight Team.
In this role, you'll oversee the efficient receipt, dispatch, and distribution of road freight from the resort's contracted carriers, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on time.
Key Duties
Oversee daily deliveries, trailer unloading, and internal distributionConduct team briefings and assign roles for trailer dispatchManage consignment notes, manifests, and freight tracking via the TGE databaseOperate forklifts and trucks to safely handle freightMaintain accurate documentation and ensure temperature-sensitive freight is protectedSupport contractor freight, infrastructure deliveries, and assist with recycling logisticsLead and support a small team, setting daily expectations and providing on-the-job training
What You'll Need
A valid HC Truck License (required)Current Forklift LicenseExperience handling temperature-controlled freightMechanically minded with practical problem-solving skillsPrior experience coordinating or leading a small logistics/operations team
