Position Profile and Role
We are currently seeking a Clinical Midwifery Educator
to join our team.
The Clinical Midwifery Educator identifies strategies to promote
and embed a learning culture that supports positive patient
outcomes and delivery of a patient centred service.
Collaborates
with the Unit Manager in development and management of orientation
and performance development programs to meet the education and
training needs of nursing / midwifery staff within the unit.
Collaborates with the Unit Manager to determine personal and
professional competencies integral to care delivery in the local
unit and required of nursing / midwifery staff.
Under the direction
of the Unit Manager oversees all individual staff performance
appraisal and development activities within the unit.
This position
seeks professional guidance and professional supervision from the
Nurse Director - Education.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH)
is an 863-bed
tertiary and quaternary hospital providing a broad range of
specialised healthcare services.
These include the State
Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, dedicated
mental health facilities, maternity,
paediatric and neonatal care,
as well as the State Adult Burns Service.
FSH also delivers highly
specialised treatments such as heart and lung transplantation and
hyperbaric medicine.
