We are seeking a
Materials Technical Assistant
to join our Materials team and support the safe and efficient management of materials across warehousing, logistics, storage and site operations.
What We Offer

Monday to Saturday day shift
10-hour days Monday to Friday, 6-hour Saturday

About the Role
This is a hands-on site-based role supporting the receipt, storage, movement and issuing of materials and equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
Offloading, receiving, storing and issuing materials and equipment.
Operating authorised materials handling equipment, including forklifts and telehandlers where required.
Maintaining accurate materials records and inventory control.
Identifying and reporting shortages, overages, damaged and non-conforming materials.
Conducting regular audits of warehouses, laydown areas and storage facilities.
Coordinating the safe and timely movement of materials to site.
Supporting warehouse and laydown area housekeeping and maintenance.
Assisting with surplus material, disposal and scrap processes.
Working closely with the Materials, Logistics and broader project teams.
About You
You will be a proactive and safety-focused individual with experience in
materials handling, warehousing, logistics or a similar construction environment
.
We are looking for:
Practical experience in materials or warehouse operations.
Experience using materials handling equipment.
Good attention to detail and inventory control skills.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Good computer and reporting skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A strong commitment to safety and quality.
Requirements
Current Construction White Card
Current Driver's Licence
Forklift and/or Telehandler ticket highly regarded
HR Licence where required
DGM Certification where required
Ability to obtain a Police Clearance
Additional project-specific tickets as required
