The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and customer-focused
Barista
to join the Amora team.
In this role, you will create high-quality coffee and beverage experiences while delivering exceptional customer service.
You will play a key role in ensuring guests receive friendly, efficient service and that our café and beverage operations maintain the highest standards of quality, presentation, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items in line with brand standards.
Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
Anticipate guest needs and respond to enquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and courteously.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu offerings, promotions, hotel services, and outlet operations.
Operate the POS system accurately, including processing transactions and ensuring all sales are recorded correctly.
Assist with opening and closing duties in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Maintain clean, organised, and well-presented workstations, displays, and service areas.
Monitor stock levels, rotate stock using FIFO principles, and ensure products are stored correctly.




Ensure all food and beverage displays are maintained to a high standard of presentation.
Promote menu items and utilise upselling techniques to enhance the guest experience and drive revenue.
Handle guest feedback professionally and escalate concerns to supervisors when required.
Adhere to all company policies, food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Assist the Food & Beverage leadership team with additional duties as required.
Skills and Experience
Australian working rights (Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid work visa holder).
Previous Barista experience in a café, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
Strong coffee knowledge and beverage preparation skills, including espresso-based coffees.
Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
Experience using POS systems and cash handling procedures.
Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with a good command of spoken English.
Robust customer service focus with a friendly and professional approach.
Desirable
Experience in a similar Barista or hospitality role.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Ability to use initiative and resolve guest enquiries and concerns.
Excellent personal presentation and grooming standards.
Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
