About the Role
As Adult Community Mental Health Clinician, you will provide recovery oriented community mental health assessment, therapeutic intervention and case management to adults experiencing mental illness, within a multidisciplinary team.
You will deliver evidence based, consumer centred care while working collaboratively with families, carers and partner services in line with legislation and qualified standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering comprehensive mental health assessments, triage and evidence based therapeutic interventions to adults in a community setting.
Providing case management within a recovery oriented framework,



supporting consumers to achieve meaningful health and wellbeing outcomes.
Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, and liaising effectively with consumers, carers, families and external service providers.
Ensuring care delivery complies with relevant legislation, policies and professional standards, including the NSW Mental Health Act.
Participating in crisis intervention, care planning and risk management, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Contributing to continuous professional development, clinical supervision and service improvement, while upholding NSW Health CORE values.
Your contribution as a healthcare professional will have a meaningful and positive impact, which is felt at a community level.

What We're Looking For:
Relevant tertiary qualification with registration or professional peak body eligibility.
Recent experience in community or acute mental health




Strong understanding of mental health practices, such as recovery oriented care, shared care models, and consumer, family and carer focused approaches.
Sound understanding of mental health legislation
Excellent communication and personal skills
