About our Operation
Kimberley Mineral Sands Pty Ltd (KMS) is a ***** joint venture between Sheffield Resources Limited and YGH Australia Investment Pty Ltd (Yansteel).
The Thunderbird Mineral Sands Operation (Thunderbird) is located mid-way between Derby and Broome, in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
Thunderbird is one of the largest and highest-grade zircon mineral sands deposits in the world and contains valuable heavy minerals including ilmenite, zircon and leucoxene, which are extracted and exported via the Port of Broome.
Our head office is based in Broome, and together we are focused on delivering economic and social benefits for the West Kimberley and its communities.

About the Role
Residing in the West Kimberley
and reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Supervisor Maintenance
to join our growing mining company, leading a team of trades personnel to deliver planned and corrective maintenance safely and efficiently.
This is a front-line leadership position, providing technical support and advice to the Maintenance Team on ways to optimise equipment reliability and availability to ensure delivery on budgeted commitments.
Site Based Roster:
8 Days on, 6 Days off (Bus In, Bus Out)
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the safe execution of all planned and unplanned maintenance activities within quality, time and budget requirements
Operate in accordance with KMS Work Management and Shutdown Management processes, ensuring collaboration across multidisciplinary departments
Support effective resource allocation (people, equipment, and resources) to meet maintenance work schedules
Develop executable maintenance scopes and schedules aligned with Process Plant Maintenance strategies and life of asset planning
Coach, mentor and identify development opportunities for team members to raise overall effectiveness of the work completed,



ensuring all site personnel are trained and competent for the tasks that they are carrying out
Complete detailed shift logs and handovers for the incoming Supervisor Maintenance
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Electrical Trade Certificate (or equivalent industry qualification)
Current WA C Class Driver's Licence
Current S26 qualification
Minimum two years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a mineral sands or heavy industrial mining environment
Demonstrated experience maintaining electrical fixed plant equipment and infrastructure
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and P&IDs;
Proven leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate daily priorities and work plans
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, can-do approach
Sound knowledge of mine safety legislation and regulations
Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling using a CMMS, preferably SAP
