Horizontal Directional Drillers & Offsiders
General Labourers
Mainswest, in partnership with Western Power and Local Government, are undergrounding the overhead distribution network in Perth Metro areas and we are looking to expand our internal crews to cope with demand.
Applicants should have a solid understanding of the Western Power network, be dependable, able to plan and execute tasks safely and efficiently and be physically fit as all roles are physically demanding and deadline driven.
HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONAL DRILLERS & HDD OFFSIDERS
HDD operating experience with Vermeer D23x30 and D8x12 and tracking with Digitrak Falcon systems.
Ability to set up the drill, plan optimum bore paths, mix drill mud for optimum soil conditions.
Ability to install electrical infrastructure to Western Power standards.
Operate a vacuum truck.
Read and decipher BYD and locate plans to manually pothole, locate and expose all services.
Complete construction paperwork such as JHA's, dig permits, pre-starts and borelogs.
GENERAL LABOURERS
The successful candidates will need to be fit,



strong and physically capable of undertaking manual labour and working in a construction / field setting.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Assisting with paving and concreting
Building retaining walls
Loading and landing equipment
Hand digging holes and trenches
Backfilling holes
Preparing trenches
Laying cables
General labouring and site support
Assisting trades and operators as required
Must Have's
Current First Aid Certificate and CPR.
Construction blue/white card.
Advantageous
Truck Licence - MR to HC.
Cert III in Trenchless Technology or Civil Construction (Apprenticeships on offer for suitable candidates)
Excavator ticket, Quick Cut Saw and other relevant plant tickets
Identify, Locate and Protect Underground Services
Traffic Management BWTM/TC
Western Power specific inductions and qualifications
