We're looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team (Full time) – play a key role in supporting the financial success of RAC!
Reporting to the Operations Accounting Manager, you'll provide high-quality accounting and financial services to our business units, helping deliver accurate financial insights, strengthen operational performance, and support informed business decision-making across the Group.

What will you be doing?
Leading and preparing activities related to the annual budgeting and forecasting processes Partner with business stakeholders to ensure financial information is meeting requirements, emerging trends are identified including the analysis of financial result drivers Fosters and thrives in an environment of continuous improvement, working with team members to improve insights and ways of working.Delivering ad hoc projects and responsibilities as assigned by Managers and other senior stakeholdersCompletion of assigned month end/year end accounting processes for Shared Services and Group accounting transactions/journals for RAC Business DivisionsInvolvement in internal/external audit and ensure allocated audit tasks meet requirementsInvolvement in Tax related matters of BAS,



FBT and ITR and liaising directly with the Group Tax TeamPreparation of assigned balance sheet reconciliations as per agreed timelines.
Includes correct recognition and treatment of assets and liabilitiesParticipate in and provide support where necessary on projects and initiatives as required to increase efficiencies across Shared ServicesProviding support to their team as required, during busy times or unforeseen circumstances, including providing BAU backfill to Team members whilst Project and initiatives are in progressPerforming other duties as and when required by the Management Accounting Manager to ensure that the Financial Services team meets its objectivesImproving processes within scope of responsibilityMaintaining documentation of own relevant financial processes and proceduresOffers the opportunity to learn and assist across different business units in the Group.
What are we looking for in you?
Experience in an accounting role in a large organisation or division.Tertiary Qualifications in Commerce/Business majoring in accounting.Professionally qualified as a CA or CPA or similar.Management and Financial AccountingKey requirement - An understanding of a large ERP system (Oracle, SAP) and key modules being Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable,



iExpenses and Fixed Assets.Solid reconciliation skillsAdvanced Excel skills.
(exposure to Power Query would be an advantage)Analytical and problem-solving skills.Analyse and interpreting financial data and information.Good verbal and written communication skills.High attention to detail.Engaging in effective teamwork.Ability to adapt to a changing environment.Developing and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders, and external groups.Motivating self and team to achieve business outcomesAbility to operate effectively in a Values/Behaviour based organisation and role model Behaviours.
