Our client is a global leader in data and AI and they've spent decades helping public sector organisations turn complex, messy, high-stakes data into decisions that actually hold up.
As the successful Senior Sales Manager you'll lead a team of Account Executives across the Canberra Federal Government sector and the wider Australian State Government departments, with a clear mandate to grow.
This is not a role where you manage from a dashboard.
You'll be in the room opening doors at executive level, shaping deals, and coaching your team through the ones that matter.
You'll own:
Total software revenue and the growth plan behind it
Direct leadership, coaching and development of your AE team
Executive and C-level relationships across government agencies
Modernisation and expansion within a substantial existing customer base
Partner ecosystem development as a part of your go-to-market
What we're looking for:
Sales management experience ideally with a software vendor, selling into public sector
A track record of building and executing a credible public sector GTM strategy
Genuine coaching ability, you develop people, you don't just performance-manage them
Experience developing a partner ecosystem
Proven C-level negotiation and the ability to close large, strategic deals
Real relationships inside government agencies, and the credibility to open new ones
Strength in selling business outcomes and modernisation programs, not product features
This is an exciting role with a deep install base, a customer set that's already engaging more positively than it has in years, and an executive team investing ahead of the curve.
You'll have the autonomy to make regional strategy your own with the support of a global organisation.
