About the Role
Reporting to the Housing Projects Lead, the core responsibilities include to:
Lead the delivery of the Shire's Triple A Housing Plan, and other related housing strategic documents.
Lead key advocacy projects and submissions that address social issues and improve wellbeing outcomes for people experiencing homelessness or sleeping rough.
Lead social research on housing and homelessness and provide data analysis.
Work in partnership with local community support centres and housing agencies to provide support and identify opportunities for people seeking housing.




Support the Functional Zero program and local initiatives.
About You
A tertiary qualification in Public Policy, Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Health Promotion or a related field.
Proven experience in social research and planning, housing policy development, monitoring government policy, analysing data, and project management.
Knowledge of community and social development principles and their application including needs of different population groups and the social service responses.
Knowledge of government housing policy and programs to inform decision making.
Ability to build and maintain effective and productive local partnerships.
Ability to manage multiple and competing projects and prioritise actions
