Job overviewWe are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, customer-focused team member with strong leadership potential to join the Heidelberg Materials Australia team in Sale, Victoria (approximately 2.5 hours east of Melbourne).
This role offers excellent career development opportunities, and we actively look to develop and promote from within.
With comprehensive on-the-job training across concrete and quarry materials, plant operations, concrete batching, scheduling, and logistics, this position is an ideal stepping stone into future leadership or supervisory roles within our business.
You'll gain valuable hands-on experience while building a long-term career in the construction industry.

You don't need prior concrete or batching experience - we're looking for the right person with the right attitude, and we'll provide full training.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, with early morning starts and rostered Saturday work based on business needs.In this role, you will:Oversee the day-to-day operation of a concrete batch plant, taking ownership of outcomes and setting a positive example for othersOperate a front-end loader (training provided if required)Communicate regularly with customers, including taking orders, scheduling deliveries, and resolving queries professionallyUse computer-based systems for batching, scheduling, reporting, and record-keepingWork collaboratively with a high-performing local team and neighbouring sites, showing leadership and initiativePromote a strong safety culture and demonstrate coaching or mentoring capabilityEnsure products meet strict quality standards,
