As our Collection & Community Librarian, you'll use your library know-how to help deliver a great service and a welcoming, community-focused experience.
You'll support the Coordinator Library Services by looking after the library collection, including Community History, and helping it grow and evolve to meet the needs of our community.
You'll also support the Library Technician/s to keep day-to-day library operations running smoothly, while providing guidance to staff on library policies and best practice.
In this role you will have the following accountabilities:
Look after the library collection, including Community History, so it continues to meet the needs of our community.
Support the Library Technician and Mobile Library Officer so our library and collection services run smoothly.
Work with the Coordinator Library Services on planning,



developing and managing Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale Library Services, including team plans and budgets.
Help customers use library technology, as well as their own devices.
Our preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experiences and skillset:
Tertiary qualifications that make you eligible for Associate Membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
A good understanding of how public libraries operate in Western Australia, including State Library of Western Australia practices and policies.
Strong skills in using an automated library management system such as Spydus, along with a good understanding of digital technologies.
Experience supporting or supervising staff and/or volunteers in a library setting.

We will negotiate a great salary with you up to
$97,000pa
depending on the experience you bring to the role.
