Kamboj Painting and House Maintenance Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled, reliable and motivated Painter to join our growing team in Lara, Victoria.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality painting and finishing work across residential and commercial properties.
The role involves preparing surfaces, applying paints and protective coatings, completing interior and exterior painting, and ensuring all work is finished to a high professional standard.
The successful applicant will work both independently and as part of a team and will be expected to follow project specifications, workplace health and safety requirements, and company quality standards.
The Painter will work on a variety of projects and will be required to manage painting tasks efficiently, maintain tools and equipment, and keep work areas clean and organised.
Attention to detail, good workmanship and the ability to complete projects within agreed timeframes are essential.

Long-term employment opportunities for the right candidate Task & responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling and repairing imperfections.
Apply primers, undercoats,



paints, stains, varnishes and protective coatings.
Carry out interior and exterior painting of residential and commercial properties.
Measure and calculate required paint and material quantities.
Mix and match paints to achieve required colours and finishes.
Use brushes, rollers, spray guns and other painting equipment safely and effectively.
Complete detailed cutting-in, touch-ups and finishing work.
Protect floors, furniture, fixtures and surrounding areas during painting.
Inspect completed work and correct any defects or uneven finishes.
Clean and maintain painting tools, equipment and work areas.
Follow project specifications, company procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe worksite.
Coordinate with supervisors, clients and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain high standards of workmanship, attention to detail and professionalism.
Complete assigned painting and maintenance work within agreed project timeframes.
Qualification & experience Relevant trade qualification in Painting and Decorating or equivalent is desirable.
Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience as a Painter in residential or commercial projects.
Strong knowledge of surface preparation,



painting techniques and finishing methods.
Experience with brushes, rollers, spray equipment and other painting tools.
Ability to prepare, mix and apply different types of paints, coatings and finishes.
Good knowledge of colour matching and decorative finishing techniques.
Ability to read and follow job specifications, plans and instructions.
Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and safe use of PPE.
Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Good time-management and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physically fit and capable of performing painting and maintenance duties.
Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
A current driver's licence is desirable.
Relevant construction or safety tickets/licences will be highly regarded.
