About the Role
We're looking for an experienced
Financial Controller
to lead our finance function and take ownership of the financial operations, reporting, and compliance that underpin the business.
Reporting to the CFO, you'll play a key role in financial governance, risk management, and business performance — helping the Company maintain strong financial discipline.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants genuine influence: you'll partner directly with the Executive team and operational leaders, not just report the numbers after the fact.
What You'll Be Doing
Financial Operations & Reporting
Overseeing the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and banking
Leading month-end and year-end close, and preparing management reports (P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs)
Ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and statutory obligations
Budgeting, Forecasting & Commercial Analysis
Assisting the annual budget and rolling forecast process across all departments
Delivering variance analysis, cost reporting, and financial models to support pricing and investment decisions
Analysing manufacturing costs, margins, and overhead absorption to support commercial decision-making
Governance, Compliance & Risk
Maintaining and improving financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
Managing statutory, tax, payroll, and regulatory compliance, and liaising with auditors and accountants
Supporting contract reviews and financial due diligence
Systems & Continuous Improvement
Driving improvements in financial systems, automation, and reporting tools
Building dashboards and reporting frameworks that give the business better visibility
Leadership
Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing finance team
Partnering closely with Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and HR
About You
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Senior finance leadership experience — ideally in manufacturing or another complex operational environment
A track record managing statutory reporting, audits, tax, and multi-entity structures
Experience leading finance teams and implementing financial systems and controls
Robust commercial instincts, backed by high integrity and sound judgement
A leadership presence that can influence across all levels of the business
Comfortable under pressure, across competing deadlines, and in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
Why Join Us
Competitive salary tailored to your experience, plus bonuses
An inclusive, collaborative team environment
Monthly culture team gatherings and weekly coffees plus more
Genuine scope to shape the finance function as the business grows across Australia, the UK, and the USA
