Can you spare just ONE HOUR per week to become a Social Volunteer?
Just one hour a week can make a real difference.We're seeking a friendly, reliable volunteer to spend one on one time with a lovely lady who lives at home and enjoys great conversation about your shared interests.What you'll doEnjoy relaxed chats about gardening, plants and produceEnjoy watching a movie and doing crosswords or puzzles togetherOffer companionship, conversation, and connectionThis role would suit someone who is:Warm, patient, and a good listenerReliable and able to give a little bit of time each week or fortnightKeen to build a genuine friendshipNo special skills or experience are needed — just empathy, consistency, and a genuine willingness to connect.Your impactVolunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience,
both for the person you visit as well as yourself.
Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated.

We're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of clients who are living at home.HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.Requirements18 years or older National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCareOne hour visits for 6 months or longer between 9am and 5pm Monday to Sunday.
