The Bellevue mine has a long mine life and is forecast to produce ~150,000 Au ounces a year.
Underground mining has occurred since late **** to establish multiple mining fronts that de-risks production with exploration in progress to expand the current high-grade resource.The Bellevue Gold Mine is located approximately 30km north of Leinster township and sits in a major gold, lithium and nickel producing district.

We seek to foster an energetic and cooperative work culture that attracts and retains exceptional employees.Job DescriptionThe Mine Geologist is responsible for accurate geological mapping, sampling, grade control, drilling support, ore control,
and interpretations within structurally controlled ore bodies.
The position works closely with other departments including mining, survey and geology teams to collect high-quality geological data for operational decision-making.
This role works 8 days on 6 days R&R;, 8 days on 6 days R&R;, 7 nights on 7 days R&R; FIFO roster.Your main duties and responsibilities will include:Develop, implement and monitor various underground geology procedures including but not limited to face mapping and sampling, wall mapping, ore drive directions, loggingExecute digital UG face/wall mapping programProvide ore drive directions to optimize orebody position for stopingLiaise with engineers and other stakeholders to facilitate geological activitiesEstablish mine geology systems for productionSupervise and train junior Geologists for underground activitiesAssist in UG and OP production tracking and ore delineationEnsure the provision of quality logging,
sampling and QAQC practices from resource definition and grade control drilling programs.Weekly reporting of UG geology related activitiesProject work as determined by the Senior GeologistAssist Senior Geologist with wireframing and updating of significant geological structures within the mineEnsure UG activities are completed in accordance with all relevant H&S; policies and proceduresDesired Skills and ExperienceKey Skills/Qualifications/Experience:Tertiary Qualification in GeologyExperience as a Mine Geologist with at least 1+ years' experience in an underground production roleSound knowledge of mapping, structural geology, drilling and sampling techniquesCompetent user of mining and geology related software packages (e.g. Vulcan and acQuire)Understanding of general mining operations, Gold experience highly desirableUnderstanding of Occupational Health and Safety requirementsAbility to work autonomously with well-developed time management skillsProficient in technical writing, reporting and communicating technical data to site managementDemonstrated leadership skills; inclusive of training and retention of technical and field staff and consultantsBGL is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace and building an organisation which provides equal opportunities for all its employees with the objective of attracting, retaining, and developing a workforce that is representative of the wider community.
