ELECTRICAL TEAM LEADER
We're SJ Power.
We've built a reputation for being the easy choice for home and business owners making the switch to renewables across the Central Coast, Newcastle and Hunter Valley.
Since we began in ****, we've helped over 2,500 home and business owners take control of their energy.
Due to overwhelming demand from raving customer reviews, we have an exclusive opening to join our highly reputable team in facilitating the renewable transition.
About The Role
As an Electrical Team Leader at SJ Power, you'll be responsible for leading a crew of tradespeople in the field, running solar and battery installations across residential and commercial sites.
You'll report into and be supported by our Operations Manager, and play a central role in making sure every job is delivered on time, on standard and to the customer experience our reputation is built on.
This is a hands-on leadership role.
You'll be on the tools while also owning the performance and output of your team — setting the standard, solving problems on site, and keeping your crew moving.
You're the person our Operations Manager relies on to get it done.
About You
You're a qualified and experienced electrician who has stepped — or is ready to step — into a leadership role.
You've got a proven track record in solar and battery installations, you carry your SAA accreditation, and you know how to get the best out of a team without losing quality or pace.
You lead by example, communicate clearly, and you don't leave problems for someone else to deal with.
Role & Responsibilities
Lead your crew through daily installation runs — solar PV and battery storage across residential and commercial sites.
Report to and work closely with the Operations Manager on scheduling, site performance,
crew capacity and any escalations.
Set and maintain the standard of workmanship on every job your team touches.
Be on the tools — this is a working leadership role, not a clipboard job.
Manage site logistics: materials, process and handover.
Ensure all compliance documentation, sign-offs and grid connection paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
Uphold SJ Power's safety standards on every site — non-negotiable.
Represent SJ Power professionally with customers — your crew's conduct on site is your responsibility.
Experience & Skills You'll Need
Current NSW Electrical Licence — non-negotiable.
SAA accreditation for solar and battery installations.
Proven track record of solar and battery installations
Demonstrated experience leading or supervising a team of tradespeople in the field.
Strong understanding of Australian standards
NSW Drivers license — you'll be operating a company vehicle.
Clear communicator who can manage up to the Operations Manager and across to your crew.
Someone who takes ownership — of the job, the team and the outcome.
