We partner with top energy producers across Canada and internationally to design protected, reliable, and efficient facilities from early concept through execution and operation.We are seeking a Graduate Piping Engineer who is eager to develop technical capability and gain hands‐on experience within a multidisciplinary EPCM environment.
In this role, you will support piping engineering activities on oil and gas facilities projects, contributing to design, analysis, drafting coordination, and construction support under the guidance of senior engineers.Why Join Equinox?

Your role will include:Piping Design SupportAssist in the design and layout of piping systems for oil and gas facilitiesSupport preparation of engineering deliverables including line lists, piping specifications,



and material requisitionsDevelop engineering sketches and markups to support drafting/design teams in creating 3D models and drawingsAssist with material take-offs (MTOs), quantities, and documentationCoordination & Team CollaborationWork with multidisciplinary teams including process, mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentationParticipate in design reviews and model reviews under guidance from senior engineersSupport communication with internal teams and, as appropriate, vendors and clientsProject Execution & DeliverySupport the delivery of piping deliverables in alignment with scope, schedule, and quality requirementsAssist with vendor data reviews, technical queries, and procurement support activitiesContribute to project documentation such as design basis memorandums (DBMs) and work packagesConstruction & Field SupportAssist with responses to RFIs and technical queries during constructionSupport field engineering activities, including site visits and inspections as requiredHelp ensure designs remain practical, constructible, and aligned with project intentSafety, Quality & ComplianceFollow established engineering quality processes and proceduresSupport compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.3,



B31.1, and relevant Australian standards)Demonstrate commitment to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirementsAbout YouYou are an early-career engineer who is enthusiastic about piping design, eager to learn from experienced professionals, and motivated to contribute to multidisciplinary project teams.
You bring:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)Eligibility for Graduate Membership with Engineers Australia (required)0–3 years of relevant engineering experience (oil & gas or EPCM exposure considered an asset)Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skillsA proactive mindset and willingness to learn in a fast‐paced environmentTechnical FoundationBasic understanding of piping systems, layouts, and equipment connections is considered an assetFamiliarity with P&IDs;, piping drawings, and general facility design concepts is an assetUnderstanding of industry design practices and standardsExposure to ASME piping codes is considered an assetAwareness of materials, fabrication, and installation practices is an assetSoftware ProficiencyExposure to piping design tools and 3D modeling environments (e.g., AutoCAD, CADWorx, Plant 3D, or equivalent)Familiarity with Navisworks or model review tools is considered an assetProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office toolsReady to Apply?
