Medical Receptionist – Full Time

is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic
Medical Receptionist
to join our friendly and professional team in a full time position.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in providing a warm, qualified and supportive experience for our patients.
Previous medical reception experience is preferred, however, we are also open to candidates with robust administration and customer service skills who are eager to learn and develop within a medical environment.
Daily duties include, but are not limited to:
Welcoming patients, managing reception and booking appointments
Answering a high volume of telephone enquiries in a professional and friendly manner
Processing patient billings and Medicare payments
Maintaining accurate, efficient and confidential medical records
Reconciling EFTPOS and completing daily banking
Providing general office and administrative support
Assisting the clinical team to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice
Skills and experience:
Medical reception experience – preferred but not essential
Excellent computer and administrative skills
Experience using
Best Practice
software – highly regarded, but not essential
Excellent telephone and communication skills
Ability to multitask, prioritise and remain calm and organised in a busy environment
A warm, empathetic and patient-focused approach
Self-motivated, reliable and trustworthy
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
