About the Role:
/n
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic cook to manage the day-to-day preparation of meals for our children aged 2 years to 5 years. You'll play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of our children through the preparation of healthy meals that meet individual dietary needs and cultural considerations.
/n
Key Responsibilities:
/n
/n
- Plan and prepare nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks in line with the NSW Early Education and Care guidelines
/n
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
/n
- Cater to individual allergies, intolerances, and cultural requirements
/n
- Work closely with educators to support children's nutritional development
/n
- Maintain kitchen/food records,
including temperature logs and cleaning schedules
/n
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators, staff and management
/n
- Order and manage food supplies within budget
/n/n
What We're Looking For:
/n
Preferred Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education (not mandatory)
/n
Current food Safety Supervisor certificate
/n
Minimum of 1-2 years' experience working in a childcare or early education kitchen
/n
Valid Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis/Asthma training
/n
Excellent understanding of allergies and special dietary requirements
/n
